Grateful to have made this batch of songs with my best friends: Josh Nussbaum on guitar, backup vox, Nick Perri on bass, Conner Saltzer on the drums and percussion Robby Webb engineered, mixed and produced it with assisted help/coffee from Tom Conran at Philly Sound Studios.
“A New Start”
I’m updating my website, so I figure a new blog post is in order.
In February 2017, I relocated to Nashville, TN to pursue more musical endeavors and get a fresh look on life. I grew up and lived in Philadelphia for 27 years. While it will always be my home, I felt I needed a departure and change of scenery.
For those who know me, I’ve been more of a collaborator with other artists’ projects. From my first musical journeys in basements, VFW halls and smokey rehearsal studios to cocktail gigs, casinos and touring, it’s been a sideman seat, which I am eternally grateful for. At the end of the day, there is nothing more rewarding than making honest and genuine music with your peers. It’s why I do what I do and always will. However, there has always been part of me that wanted to write my own songs and sing my heart out but never really had the guts to do it. Turns out life has a way of forcing you into artistic unfamiliarity and potential despair.
In a few weeks, I’ll be releasing digitally (via Bandcamp) my first collection of original music featuring a band of best friends and some heartfelt tunes. The sound of the record draws from my earlier musical influences as well as some tricks I’ve learned along the way. I’m putting this record out for myself because at this point in my life, I feel I have to. That’s it.
With that being said, I’m working on a few projects down here in Nashville which I look forward to sharing with you. I’m in the midst of getting my home studio up and running. Pedal demos, EP’s with some local artists and singer-songwriters are just a few of the things on the list for this year.
Thank you all for the support. Let’s make the world a better place.
